Week 1

ACTIVITY

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Techniques on Effective Presentation

 

  • Students will learn the correct breathing techniques to help them sustain their breath during their speech.
  • Relaxation and breathing exercises will help students to calm their nerves, which is critical before any form of presentation.
  • They will be able to project their voices better.
 
Speech & Body Works!

 

  • Students will work with their team mates to role-play a short story. This will enable them to become more expressive physically (facial, hand gestures and body movements) and vocally.

 

Make A Commercial
 
  • Students will use their creativity and required to give a 30 second to 1-minute commercial on the product and talk about why it is so awesome and why people should buy it.

 

 

Week 2

Physical and Vocal Warm-Ups

 

  • To help release any form of tension in the student’s body. To physically, mentally and vocally prepare them for class.

  • Students will be able to understand how a proper presentation is done and they will be able to identify the do’s and don’ts of an effective presentation.

 

Hand Gestures through Poetry Recital and Character Play!

 

  • Students will explore proper use of hand gestures and assuming different characters.

 

Discussions & Planning for Presentation for Week 4

 

  • Students will be guided to prepare for their presentation.

 

 

Week 3

Vocal Warm-Up Games
 
  • Students will be more aware of their voice production and use it effectively for their presentation.

 

Impromptu Speech

 

  • They will hone their creativity when they have to think on their toes to present a speech without any preparation time given.

 

Rehearsal for Presentation

 

  • Students will learn to apply all the presentation tips they’ve learnt over previous lessons and adopt them in their presentation.
