About Alif
Alif has been in the Sports Coaching industry since 2010 and is accredited under the National Registry of Coaches by SportSG. He was a part of SportSG’s pioneer team of coaches to conduct various Fundamental Movement Skills programmes from 2011 – 2019.
As the head coach of the Under-19 National Men’s Handball Youth Development Squad, Alif led the team to a 2nd place finish in the Singapore Youth Handball League in 2011. He was also the instructor for the National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Level 1 Handball Course for budding coaches in 2011, and co-developed the Level 2 manual and syllabus. In 2014, he took on the role of Fire-Fighting & Fitness Trainer for the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Academy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and conducted functional fitness training and fire-fighting skills for their local and expat trainers for two years.
In 2017, he represented ActiveSG and the Fun Start Move Smart! programme at the ECDA conference, “The Early Childhood Exhibition 2017”. In 2018, he was a part of the CoachSG Symposium, speaking about “The Power of Positive Coaching” to local coaches as a representative of the ActiveSG Football Academy. In the following year, he led the academy’s Under-9 team to victory in the inaugural Kanga Cup Football Shield Championship in Canberra, Australia.
